Bonnie St. John

Despite having her right leg amputated at age five, Bonnie St. John became the first African-American ever to win medals in Winter Olympic competition, taking home a silver and two bronze medals in downhill events at the 1984 Paralympics in Innsbruck, Austria. In recognition of this historic achievement, St. John was quoted on millions of Starbucks coffee cups and was honored at the White House by President George W. Bush.

St. John has achieved the highest levels of success in a variety of endeavors throughout her life. In addition to her success as a Paralympic athlete, she is a best-selling author, a highly sought-after keynote speaker, a television and radio personality, a business owner, and a Fortune 500 leadership consultant. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in 1986, and won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University, taking a Master of Letters degree in Economics. Upon her return to the United States, St. John was appointed by President Bill Clinton as a director for Human Capital Issues on the White House National Economic Council.

Today, St. John travels the globe as a leadership consultant, keynote speaker, and facilitator for international summit conferences for senior-level executives. She frequently donates personal appearances to schools, homeless shelters, community groups, and other organizations in hundreds of locations while traveling for corporate clients. In 2010, St. John once again represented the United States as a member of President Obama’s official delegation to the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

The celebrated author of seven books, St. John’s most recent book, Micro-Resilience: Minor Shifts for Major Boosts in Focus, Drive, and Energy outlines a quick, easy, and immediately effective program of tools and techniques to give you a competitive edge in today’s dynamic world of changes and challenges.

Amy Anderson joined Matrixcare in 2018 as a Senior Project Manager; responsible for MyScrubber QA and our analytics solutions.  Amy has been in the Home Health and Hospice industry since 1996 holding various leadership roles, extensive experience in operations, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle management.

Meg Anhalt is a Business Analyst for the SNF Revenue Cycle Management team, where she works closely with customers to assess their business needs and adapt them into technical requirements for the development team.  In her 9 years with MatrixCare, Meg has also acted as a Sr. Financial Implementation Consultant and a Quality Assurance Analyst, giving her both the hands-on experience of working onsite with customers and the technical analysis skills that she uses in her current role.  She has played an important role in recent large development efforts, including the PDPM transition, Write Off Improvements, Episodic Claims Billing and more.   Meg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.

As Vice President of Quality & Performance Excellence at LeadingAge Minnesota, Julie develops effective strategies to support aging services provider members in implementing and hardwiring quality improvement, safety, and performance excellence processes and systems.  Julie created and manages the Performance Excellence in Aging Services and Safe Care for Seniors programs, and serves as lead staff for the Quality, Safety & Performance Excellence Committee.  Julie has deep roots in quality, safety, and performance improvement with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare safety and quality across the continuum of care, including more than 10 years as the Senior Director of Patient Safety and Quality at the Minnesota Hospital Association. Julie is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Human Factors and Ergonomics at the University of Minnesota.

Lori Batlle is the Corporate Director of MDS at Vi Living where she supports the MDS coordinators in providing education, regulatory updates, optimizing clinical reimbursement and auditing for Medicare accuracy and compliance.   She has assisted the organization in transitioning to the PDPM payment model and developing key quality indicators that are used to drive strategic, operational, and performance improvement plans.  She has had proven outcomes in the areas of: length of stay, ADL accuracy and CMS 5 STAR ratings.

Lori’s 40 -year career in nursing has spanned both the acute and sub-acute arenas with a high interest in adherence to regulatory proponents.   She has provided multi facility leadership and support during those years specific to the Resident Assessment Instrument process.  Lori works closely with the therapy and financial teams for a collaborative approach to ensure corporate and community compliance with all Federal regulations.

She lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida with her family and enjoys travel, culinary arts and gardening.

Tracey Beattie RHIA, CCS-P, RAC-CT, is an AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM Training Ambassador.  Tracey is the Business Analyst for our MatrixCare LPC solution.  Tracey has over 30 years of coding experience, 20 years in a skilled nursing facility, and the remainder in an acute care hospital. She previously served as a HIPAA Privacy Corporate Compliance Officer in long-term care with an extensive responsibility for regulatory compliance. Tracey is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN).

Darcy Beckstrom is a Senior Product Manager responsible for both MealTracker and IDM solutions.  Darcy came to MatrixCare with the MealTracker acquisition in 2015. Darcy was one of the original developers of the MealTracker solution and has over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of Long-term Care software development.

Kristy Brown has 40+ years of experience in the long-term care industry. She has worked in the healthcare finance field at multiple corporate levels, as well as owned a long-term care facility. In her role as Director of SNF Financial Services for Quality Healthcare Resources, Kristy oversees A/R clean-ups, financial analyses, and a wide array of client support.

Kim Broyer is the Vice President of Professional Services at MatrixCare. She has over 20 years of experience in long-term care and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. She has been in various roles at MatrixCare since January 2003 including Implementation Consultant, Product Manager/Business Analyst and leading numerous service teams for the last 12 years. She currently leads our Project Management and Consulting services for our facilities customers as well as Education Services across multiple platforms. Broyer’s teams help to ensure new customers are implementing MatrixCare successfully and existing customers continue to adopt new product value through offerings such as project management, optimization, LMS/eLearning, on-going training webinars, product documentation and online help tools.

Heather Campbell is the Regional Financial Manager for PruittHealth where she manages a billing team of 12 employees, and 5 payers.  The payers are Medicare, MSP, Commercial Coinsurance, Veterans, and Contract Bed Placements. Heather manages the accounts receivables for these payers, and 99 skilled nursing facilities, has put processes in place to ensure that her team is billing efficiently and timely to ensure consistent cash flow.  Heather was heavily involved with the conversion from PruittHealth’s old billing system to MatrixCare in late 2018, and assisted with training facilities during the conversion.

 

Heather has been with PruittHealth since 2015, but has been in the healthcare billing industry for 30 years.  Heather has held several roles at PruittHealth, Medicare Billing Specialist, Regional Financial Counselor, and Regional Financial Manager.  Heather has put billing processes in place for all of her payers, to ensure maximum cash flow, and she consistently meets PruittHealth cash goals. Heather is dedicated to her career with PruittHealth, and making sure cash goals are met, so we can take care of our residents.

Keith Cooper joined MatrixCare in April of 2018 and is a nurse and Business Analyst on the Clinical Tribe.  Since joining the team at MatrixCare, he has worked as an analyst and subject matter expert with the Orders team on various innovative features, the Clinical Innovation team on Machine Learning, the Provider to Provider team on the Transition of Care Medication Reconciliation project and the Computerized Physician Order Entry team.  Prior to joining the MatrixCare, Keith worked in the out of hospital/post-acute care arena for 25 years including 18 years in corporate leadership for multi-facility providers.  He was the Chief Information Officer for Pristine Senior Living which operated skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living communities in Ohio.  He also has worked as a clinical management consultant with skilled nursing facilities in six states with special focus on nursing operations, regulatory compliance, clinical reimbursement, electronic health records, therapy and staff development. Cooper is a Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Scrum Product Owner.

Kathleen Courson, RN, BSN (Katie) has been a registered nurse for 24 years with 17 of that spent in home health and hospice. She has worked in all realms of the industry, from field nurse to administration, including building an independent Medicare Certified Home Health agency in her rural community that is still going strong.

Katie is the Clinical Project Manager for the Home Health and Hospice Division of MatrixCare.  She was previously on the MatrixCare Professional Services team as a Clinical Implementation Consultant. Prior to joining the MatrixCare Team, she was an active member of NAHC and the Pennsylvania Homecare Association, participating in the education committees for both organizations. She has held certifications in both OASIS and ICD-10 and provided remote coding/OASIS review services and instructions. Katie resides in rural NWPA with her husband of 24 years and their 3 young adult daughters.

Before joining Matrixcare in February of 2017, Kelly had worked in Long Term Care for over 20 years.  She started as an LPN while working toward her Bachelor’s in Nursing.  After graduation, she worked as a Nurse Manager and MDS Nurse before becoming a Director of Nursing for a SNF in Moorhead, MN.  After 5 years as DON, Kelly took a role as a Nurse Consultant.  Over the next 12 years, she worked as a Regulatory and Risk Management Specialist and District Director of Clinical Services.  She attained her Certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant in 2013. Kelly started with MatrixCare in February of 2017 and is a Clinical Product Manager.

Carolyn Dean joined MatrixCare as the Regulations Compliance Manager in 2014. She is responsible for monitoring CMS Medicare and Medicaid regulations in the post-acute care space to ensure company product and service solutions support compliance with new and changing regulations. Possessing over 30 years of healthcare IT experience in diverse leadership roles inclusive of customer service, quality assurance and regulations, Carolyn has established a vast network of industry connections with various federal, state and industry entities and organizations. She is also serving in her third year as an active member of the NAHC Hospice Advisory Council.

Cassie Diner joined the clinical team at MatrixCare in May of 2013 after graduating with BSN, RN from College of Saint Benedict. That same year she became the RN charge Nurse at a Long-Term Care facility. In 2015 she became a Senior trainer and eventually became a Senior Manager of Client Education at MatrixCare in 2018. Cassie currently works as a Clinical Product Manager and continues to work at a Long-Term Care facility as the RN Charge Nurse. Being part of the MatrixCare team allows her to utilize her technology, clinical, and leadership skills. When Cassie is not working, she enjoys gardening, listening to music, and spending time with her Pitbull, Bella.

Tina Doerr is the Business Analyst for our MatrixCare LPC Core solutions, where she works to translate customer and business needs or requirements into a technical work plan.  Tina works directly with our developers and product owners to document user stories and define the acceptance criteria, identify gaps and ensure core business values are the focus of our product with each iteration of our releases.

 

During her nine years with MatrixCare, Tina primarily served as Sr. Financial Implementation Consultant implementing various Revenue Cycle MatrixCare solutions.  Since 2013 she has further expanded her knowledge by cross-training on the SNF RCM platform, Retail Tracker and other Integrated solutions.  Tina led collaborative efforts across MatrixCare LPC and SNF to integrate ACH and Amortization functionality.  Tina is considered a Solutions Expert in our Revenue Cycle Management modules. As of October 2021, Tina now holds the position of LPC Business Analyst, where she plays an instrumental role in transitioning our Revenue Cycle Management solution into the LPC Modernization platform.

 

Having more than 25 years of experience within the Healthcare Industry, Profit and Not-for-Profit sectors.  She has thrived in various roles inside Physician Office, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Durable Medical, Rehabilitation and Pharmaceutical arenas.  Her knowledge surrounds: Admissions, Census, Billing, Credit and Collections, Revenue Cycle Management, Trust Management, Policy & Procedure Development/Improvement, Internal/External Auditing, Cost Reporting, Software Implementation. 

Tina specializes in LTC, CCRC, Assisted Living, Life Plans, Adult Day, LIHTC, HUD. 

Bob has been in the learning and development industry for over two decades, and for the past 14 years, has curated and managed adult learning and educational materials for MatrixCare. Since last year, he has served as the Senior Manager of Education Services overseeing clinical application training, technical writing, and instructional design. As the manager of the Education Services department, Bob is responsible for MatrixCare’s customer education tools, such as product documentation, eLearning content, on-going training webinars, in-product informational tools, and online help.

Rachael Feeback is a Product Manager with 19+ years of experience in accounting. For the last 13 years Rachael has specialized in EMR healthcare technology and services, implementing processes improvements for enterprise level home health and hospices. Rachael has deep experience leading high profile clients with compassion.

Ryan Feldman joined MatrixCare LPC in 2009 and has worked through multiple roles within the engineering organization. His focus has spanned across both the financial and clinical modules and is currently focusing on the LPC modernized platform. Ryan holds a Masters in Management Information Systems with a focus on Information Security from Nova Southeastern University.

Leandra Flath, BSW, MBA is a Business Analyst for MatrixCare Senior Living and has been part of the Long-Term Care Industry for 14+ years. She brings provider experience in pharmacy operations, transitions of care, and waiver case management together with her passion for Senior Living to drive easy to use and valuable solutions. She has a passion for leveraging technology to ease the day to day burden of Senior Living Providers, so they can get back to helping Residents thrive.

Connie French RN, BSN is a Senior Process Consultant for MatrixCare Skilled Nursing. She has assisted customers for ten years in implementing and training MatrixCare Skilled Nursing along with several other associated products. She has presented at previous MatrixCare conferences focusing on best practices and workflows for clinical users. She brings personal Long Term Care experience along with forty years of nursing. Connie enjoys interacting with customers and planning new ways to train and use MatrixCare. When Connie is not consulting, she will either be playing with her granddaughters, walking her Boykin Spaniel, or in a yoga class trying to stand on one leg.

Todd Friedman is a seasoned leader dedicated to leveraging information security and risk management to improve business performance. Experience includes creation and management of high performing teams, leadership of information security and risk strategy and management, and sustained business trust and alignment result in system defense, IT compliance and the protection of critical assets. Strong focus on delivering security as a competitive advantage, and excel at building high performing teams, capabilities and solutions with clear business value. Approaches security and risk management challenges from a business perspective, creating focused insight, organizational oversight and demystification of risk management program delivery.

Lisa Grahek, Senior Process Consultant at MatrixCare has been part of the Long Term and Post-Acute Industry for 15+ years. Lisa works to achieve the highest level of efficiency and accuracy within the MatrixCare Revenue Cycle Management System. Lisa believes that providing detailed material and training allows for successful implementation and long-term success. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, fishing, and gardening.

Graviss has led service and technology staff with HEALTHCAREfirst since 2005 and has been instrumental to CAHPS operations since 2010. Her meticulous attention to detail allows her to manage teams that deliver the highest quality service.  Graviss manages the daily operational and quality control teams and works with cross-functional teams to ensure CAHPS Surveys and other satisfaction surveys are properly executed. Graviss also works with the product development team to define and create project timelines and work them into the production process.

Tracy Grudzielanek is the Director of Medicare Billing Operations for Vi overseeing their Central Billing Office (CBO).  She is responsible for revenue cycle functions and operations of the CBO ensuring absolute compliance with the required Medicare Billing Regulations.  Tracy produces clean claims through a proven Triple Check processes and annual Medicare Compliance Observations and Audits which have been perfected over her 11-year tenure for Vi.

Tracy has extensive experience in bridging the gap between financial and clinical functions to bring about better collaboration and communication to help elevate our patient experience.  She has established regulatory transitions for not only ensuring clean claims are processed but also proper documentation are compiled for AOBs, MSPs, NOMNCs, SNF ABNS, and ABNs to avoid Technical Denials. She was also instrumental in successfully transitioning Insurance Verifications from a community responsibility to the CBO which decreased denials and write-offs by 100%. Tracy has been working in Skilled Nursing Facilities for over 30 years, developing Key Performance Indicators and Financial Trending Reports to garner opportunities in establishing training and improving processes.

Tracy holds a Master’s in Business Administration in HealthCare Administration from Western Governor’s University.

Joy Herring is the Vice President of Clinical Analytics with LTC Consultants of Central Florida, with over 20 years of experience with MDS/ RAI Process, clinical reimbursement, and regulatory practices. Joy aim to assist facilities with methods and processes in reviewing patient data to improve patient care outcome.  with a commitment and desire to improve patient care through evaluation, education, recommendations, and ongoing monitoring of RAI process, reducing and performing system analysis to ensure operational efficiency. Her vast knowledge in medicare compliance, quality measures, 5-star process, patient driven payment model, and medical review is an asset to assist with incorporating data into the clinical process that enhance patient outcome. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Bethune Cookman University and a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Chamberlain University.

As VP of Revenue Cycle and CAHPS, Howard is responsible for the success of the HEALTHCAREfirst Revenue Cycle and CAHPS departments.  Howard has extensive revenue cycle experience in a broad range of service lines including onsite leadership roles in large healthcare organizations and as a vendor managing the results and relationships of multiple customers.   Prior to joining HEALTHCAREfirst, Howard was the President and General Manager at Aspirion Health Resources, a company specializing in complex claims.   Howard brings proven experience in successful transformation, organizational growth, and best practice experience along with strong client relationships to HEALTHCAREfirst.  Howard received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organized Leadership from MidAmerica Nazarene University.  She is also Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.

Tricia Jervis, LPN, RAC-CT is a Clinical Business Analyst for the Life Plan Communities (LPC) Product at MatrixCare. Her background includes 15 years working in long- and acute care nursing, including Assisted Living, Correctional Facilities, Outpatient Behavioral Health, Trauma/Med-Surg, Cardiac and Post-Op care. Her interests in the Tech Industry brought her to MatrixCare, formerly AOD in 2013 where she worked as a Support Analyst for 8 years before transitioning to the Product Team under Robert Moore as one of the Clinical Business Analyst for her Product. Her team continues to make innovative improvements and pushes to help our Customers go above and beyond for their Residents, working with both Customers, multiple departments and outside organizations to stay current with Regulatory and Technical Changes in the Industry.

As Vice President of Business Development across MatrixCare and Brightree, Nick Knowlton leads strategic initiatives, including partnership development and healthcare interoperability efforts.

Nick has over twenty years of business experience and has held sales, marketing, product, and strategy positions for technology and health information technology businesses. Prior to joining MatrixCare, Nick ran strategic initiatives for Greenway Health, a market leader in the physician practice EHR space.

Nick has a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame.

Jolene Knudson, Senior Implementation Consultant, Team Lead has been with MatrixCare 15 years.  Jolene mentors the Revenue Cycle Management Consultants with their projects and continued growth opportunities while having a variety of projects herself.  She’s heavily involved in onboarding new colleagues, the new MatrixCare Certification program, and different collaboration initiatives within Professional Services. Jolene enjoys traveling, weekends at their lake place, boating, fishing, working out and spending time with family & friends.

Nupura Kolwalkar, chief product officer at Brightree, has almost two decades of experience developing and managing health care technologies in the pharmaceutical industry. With previous leadership roles at Purdue, Pfizer and McKesson, Kolwalkar brings a wide range of strategic backgrounds to her new role at Brightree.

As a registered nurse, Melissa has a deep understanding of the post-acute industry. Her extensive clinical care and operational insight led her to become the visionary entrepreneur she is today. With CitusHealth, she’s created our industry’s first end-to-end digital health collaboration platform to solve the complexities of managing post-acute continuum of care and patient and family engagement challenges.

Kathy Kunze has been a part of MatrixCare since 2007 and currently holds the role of Clinical Content Manager, responsible for the development and maintenance of the clinical content for both Home Health and Hospice.

Kathy is a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in the home care and hospice industries. Approximately 20 of those years have been involved in a variety of roles in Health Care Information Systems that includes Product Management, Regulatory Compliance, Implementation and Training, and Customer/Sales Support.

Bradley Lawton joined MatrixCare in 2017 and currently serves in the role of Product Manager for the Admission Management Portfolio, which includes MatrixCare Engage, MatrixCare Connect, MatrixCare Marketing, ReferralConnect and supporting services.

Bradley’s diverse background in Healthcare includes the Development and Implementation of Patient Portals, Risk Analysis for Population Health Management and applying the proper Post Discharge Workflows to reduce Re-admission Rates. Bradley has a degree in Industrial Engineering Technology and is a Six Sigma Greenbelt. He holds certifications for Pragmatic Marketing, Lean Manufacturing, Power BI and various CRM Systems.

He resides in Mobile, Alabama with his wife Krystal.

Jill Liila is the Product Manager of Revenue Cycle for MatrixCare Skilled Nursing where she is responsible for leading the design and development of product features that comply with regulatory standards, optimize cash flow, increase productivity, and decrease errors. She has been a key player in Revenue Cycle for MatrixCare Skilled Nursing since 2000 and has held many positions, including Senior Business Analyst, working closely with customers every step of the way.

During Jill’s 15 year tenure in product development for MatrixCare Skilled Nursing she has led and navigated regulatory transitions such as MDS 3.0, RUG’s, 5010, ICD-10, Value Based Payments & PDPM; and was center stage introducing new features and improvements such as the RFMS Import, A/R Reasons, Write Off Improvements, Claims Triple Check reporting, and 1500 Claim creation. Jill has dedicated her career to improving skilled nursing providers’ experience and their bottom line with technology.

Jill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Stephanie Lundeen is a Clinical Senior Process Consultant with Matrixcare since May 2018. As a Matrixcare SNF customer since 2009, Stephanie’s end-user perspective and specialization in Health Information, auditing and implementation benefit new and existing customers immensely.   She believes there is a difference between implementation and optimization and works closely with customers to bring their workflows into product use. When not working, Stephanie likes hiking, the outdoors and time at her cabin for relaxation!

Laura joined Matrixcare in 2009 as a Sr. Software Engineer after completing a 6 month consulting project for Answers on Demand. Her focus has been on the clinical modules which include Physician’s orders, MDS, UDEMR, Alerts, Rehab, Smartchart, Myday, and Vital stats. With over 30 years of experience in various domains, she possesses a great wealth of knowledge about software design and development.

Prior to joining Matrixcare, Laura held technical and management positions for the Majestic Insurance Company in San Francisco, TCIM in Wilmington, DE, and Competitive Media Reports in West Chester, PA.

Tiffany McElheny is the Director of Revenue Cycle Management at Advanced Health Care where she oversees the revenue cycle for 21+ SNFs and 10+ home healths and hospices spanning 8 states. She has spent the last 18 years in the post-acute industry creating and improving processes for intake/admissions, billing, and accounts receivables utilizing MatrixCare EHR.

An accomplished senior operational and financial professional with over twenty-five years of progressive experience in the healthcare industry, Matt Mellott serves as Brightree’s chief executive officer. He has extensive operational and financial experience in a broad range of healthcare environments, including home health, home medical equipment, hospice, infusion therapy, skilled nursing facilities, physician practice management, and sleep disorder diagnostic testing.

From 2008 to 2016, Matt was president of MedBridge Healthcare, a sleep disorder diagnostic testing and respiratory therapy provider. He co-founded the entity in 2004 after leading a management buyout of the sleep diagnostic subsidiary of his former employer, American Healthcare Services, a physician practice management company. Prior to assuming the top role at MedBridge, Matt served as the company’s chief financial officer. During his time in that position, he developed and implemented the organization’s growth strategy—defining its service offerings and delivery models, establishing partnerships, and building its infrastructure. Over twelve years, MedBridge grew to include 140 sleep disorder centers and twenty-one home medical equipment locations across twenty-two states.

Matt was the chief financial officer at American Healthcare Services from 2001 to 2004, and at the home health nursing firm Medshares in 2000. Prior to that, Matt was vice president of finance for Beverly Home Care, the $125 million homecare division of a $2.4 billion longer-term care provider, and he served in a variety of financial roles at Integrated Health Services, Inc., a national post-acute care provider. Earlier in his career, Matt spent several years in public accounting at KPMG’s Healthcare Audit Practice.

He sits on the board of the National Sleep Foundation and is a founding member of the Sleep Coalition, an organization formed in 2008 to work with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on payment and coverage policies regarding sleep diagnostic testing and CPAP therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola University in Maryland, and is also a certified public accountant.

Bhakti is the Business Analyst in the Analytics department. She is responsible for leading the design and development of analytics financial and census reporting, documentation, and MyAnalytics PowerBI report development for all core EHR products across the MatrixCare platform, including: Skilled Nursing, Senior Living, Life Plan Communities, Enterprise Financial. She also looks over development and documentation for MyData.

She has been part of MatrixCare since 2015 and has held many roles across Analytics, Data Conversions, and Financial Support for Skilled Nursing. Prior to MatrixCare, she held various roles in healthcare management, training, and communication at organizations such as UPMC and Highmark.

Bhakti has a Masters in Management of Healthcare Informatics and Analytics (with a focus on care and technology in the senior and aging population) from George Washington University and a Bachelors in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State University.

A business analyst and trusted consultant with a proven track record of success in workforce management.  Like his father and grandfather before him, Harry is a third-generation consultant with 20+ years’ experience who has spent his entire career solving workforce challenges for employers in the Mid to Enterprise markets.

Robert Moore is a Senior Product Manager at MatrixCare.  Rob recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with MatrixCare.  Throughout his tenure, he has held various customer facing and leadership positions.  He is currently overseeing MatrixCare LPC, Retail Tracker, and Enterprise Financials.  Rob is passionate about healthcare and the efficiencies EHR solutions can offer to our customers, which in turn allows more time with those they serve.  You may have seen Rob speaking at other healthcare conferences as he enjoys staying active in his nursing profession.

Bobby Moyini joined MatrixCare in 2015 after a decade of experience in public accounting. He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, although his greatest passion has always been technology. His unique expertise has provided direct value to customers through various initiatives such as workflow improvements, consolidation of feature sets, and platform modernizations. He has learned the industry from the ground up, evolving from a Senior Software Support Analyst position to Systems Analyst as he solved some of the most complex problems relating to our Financial, Census, and Reporting Modules. He is currently a Business Analyst, overseeing the Accounting, Billing, Census, Payables, Human Resources, and Associated Reporting modules. Most recently, he has worked with our development team to modernize MatrixCare’s Actionable Dashboard by leveraging modern technologies which allow our clients to use their Senior Living Solution on smartphones and tablets in addition to laptops / desktops.

Lori Osif, CPA is a Senior Process Consultant and has been part of the Financial Implementation team since 2014. Lori was the Controller for a long-term care community before joining the Matrixcare team. She has 16 years of industry experience in accounting and has contributed to software improvements and implementation processes.

Amy Ostrem is the Vice President of Solution Strategy at MatrixCare. She recently celebrated her 25th anniversary working with MatrixCare. Through her tenure she has held various customer facing and leadership positions. She currently leads up our product team and balances her work internally among colleagues and externally with customers and at industry events. Amy’s passion is around strategy, customer engagement, and delivering value. You may have recently heard Amy speak at one of our Solutions Live events or at a McKnight’s Expo.

Aimee Pastore is the Senior Vice President in Finance for PruittHealth. Aimee is a veteran of healthcare finance with over 30 years of experience in skilled nursing facility revenue cycle management nationally. Aimee has held various different finance positions with multiple large post-acute care companies including PruittHealth, Beverly Enterprises, and Golden Living. Aimee has had responsibility and oversight of business office operations in the following states; California, Arizona, Washington, Hawaii, Georgia, Massachusetts, South Dakota, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Within her revenue cycle management experience Aimee has developed strategies and processes to transition over 150 facilities into the Centralized billing structure for skilled nursing facilities.

My commitment to connecting children and families with individualized, meaningful resources began as a social worker for child protective services in 2004. After receiving my master’s degree in occupational therapy from Washington University School of Medicine, my impetus for working in a setting that combined my passion for advocacy and healthcare access led me to supporting families in the home health setting. Shortly after entering the field of home health as a clinician, I began moving into clinical mentorship and then more leadership roles. I joined Solace Pediatric Healthcare in 2012 and took over as CEO in 2018. Solace provides in-home and clinic-based occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, family caregiver services, nursing services, and school based occupational, speech, and psychology services. Solace, headquartered in Denver Colorado also provides care to families in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, California, and Wyoming.

Chelsea Person is a Manager of Professional Services at MatrixCare. She has 10 years of experience in long-term care and holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Concordia College. In her time at MatrixCare, Person has held various roles within support and implementation. As Manager of Professional Services, she leads clinical Senior Process Consultants and Implementation Consultants across MatrixCare SNF, MatrixCare Senior Living, SigmaCare, and MealTracker. When not working, she enjoys golfing and spending time on the lake with her husband and two children.

Amber Pintar is the corporate dietitian for Healthcare Services Group, Inc., who for over 12 years has been championing optimal nutrition for the older adult.

 

Amber is a registered and licensed dietitian. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Pennsylvania Dietetic Association.

 

In the role of Corporate Dietitian, Amber focuses on menu development and creating the tools to deliver a consistent, high quality dining program for Long Term Care, Acute Care, and Rehab communities. Additionally, she works closely with the training team as a subject matter expert to develop relevant food service training for all levels of dining operators and clinicians. Amber continually stays abreast of evidenced based research and industry standards and works to weave these into company policy and programs of Professional Services at MatrixCare. She has 10 years of experience in long-term care and holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Concordia College. In her time at MatrixCare, Person has held various roles within support and implementation. As Manager of Professional Services, she leads clinical Senior Process Consultants and Implementation Consultants across MatrixCare SNF, MatrixCare Senior Living, SigmaCare, and MealTracker. When not working, she enjoys golfing and spending time on the lake with her husband and two children.

Jessica Rockne is the Associate Director of Product Strategy MatrixCare Home and Hospice where she is driving product strategy for care in the home.

She has been in the post-acute healthcare industry for over 15 years. The first five years spent as a Business Director of a home health and hospice organization.

During Jessica’s 10 years with MatrixCare, she has held positions as an Implementation Project Manager and Senior Product Manager. Jessica’s experience working with hundreds of organizations all over the country gives her a unique perspective into the challenges organizations face with increased regulatory oversight, changes to the reimbursement landscape, and impact of the public health emergency.

Annette F. Salisbury is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services for PruittHealth.  Annette is responsible for the management of the Clinical Services of the Healthcare Centers, offering comprehensive services to skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.  Beginning with PruittHealth in July 2008 as a Regional Nurse Consultant Annette has also served on the AHCA Quality Committee for 8 years as well as the SC Health Care Association DHEC and Education Committee and the GA Health Care Association Quality Committee.

From 1996 until 2008, Annette held the positions of Staff Educator, Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing and then Director of Nursing at a long-term care facility in Charlotte, NC for 12 years.

Annette earned her RN from Gaston College in 2000 and LPN from the BM Spurr School of Practical Nursing in 1996.  Also earned a certificate in Executive Nursing Leadership in Long Term Care from UNC Chapel Hill in 2004.

Greg Sewell has served Healthcare Management Services, LLC, as its Director of Clinical Analytics & Reimbursement since 2016. At HMS, Greg supports facility case managers to analyze contracts and the clinical needs of its residents, analyzes data to provide support to all departments in the facilities from Activities to MDS.  Greg received degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Loma Linda University in 1994 and has worked in Skilled Nursing since that time.

 

What brings Greg his greatest enjoyment is his family.  He has been married to his wife, Monique for 20 years and they have a daughter, Megan who is 19 years old and their son Andrew, who is 16 years old.

Brandy Shifteh joined MatrixCare in 2018 as a Clinical Informatics Business Analyst and transitioned to the role of Regulations Compliance Manager for home health in 2019; responsible for the monitoring and analysis of regulatory requirements to support compliance in our products and services.

Brandy is a registered nurse with 30 years of leadership and consultant experience in the home health, hospice, and private duty home care sector, with extensive experience in operations management, regulatory compliance, clinical/quality improvement programming and accreditation/survey preparedness. She is very plugged in to the regulatory community, with relationships at both the state and federal level, and serves as an active member on several industry and national association advisory boards.

Brandy holds two undergraduate degrees in nursing and health services administration, and an MBA in computer information systems.

Liz Silva joined HEALTHCAREfirst in 2008 to manage the addition of HEALTHCAREfirst’s clinical quality management solution, Quality Actionboards, to their Home Health and Hospice survey solutions. As Product Manager for HEALTHCAREfirst’s clinical quality and survey solutions, and the Business Analyst for MatrixCare’s Analytics program, Liz works closely with home health and hospice organizations to integrate actionable results into analytics and develop strategic initiatives centered on real-time data-driven management.

David Sims is a Senior Business Analyst focusing on clinical orders and has been with MatrixCare since January 2002.  Since joining the team at MatrixCare, he has worked as an analyst and subject matter expert with the Revenue Cycle Management team, the Connections team on various integrations and interoperable workflows, Pharmacy Centric Order Entry and CareAssist eMAR. Prior to joining MatrixCare, David worked at McKesson assisting pharmacies with keeping their medications in stock including specialty medications and was an Eckerd’s Drug certified Pharmacy Technician. David enjoys the challenge of leveraging how technology can help us to improve the lives of our users and the individuals they care for.

As the Director of Account Management for Life Plan Communities and Senior Living, Ryan leads our growth efforts to connect more providers with the technology they need to solve healthcare’s modern challenges.  With a decade of service to MatrixCare, he has worked with hundreds of providers across skilled nursing, senior living, home care and the entire spectrum of out of hospital senior care. 

Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration with focuses in strategic management and healthcare innovation from the University of Minnesota where he remains an Affiliate of the Medical Industry Leadership Institute. 

Outside of MatrixCare, Ryan serves as a commissioner on the Planning Commission of Chanhassen, MN and, with his wife, is raising a 22-month-old girl! 

Janell realized hospice was her passion in 2011. In a few short years with Sangre de Cristo Hospice, she has gone from IT Technician to EMR System Administrator and now has become the regulatory and compliance expert as the Director of Compliance. Janell enjoys wearing many hats and is deeply involved in all departments to ensure that each is following the philosophy of working smarter not harder while still maintaining compliance. In November 2018 when I transitioned to my current role and perfect timing Janell became one of nation’s the first 200 individuals to complete the NHPCO Hospice Compliance Certificate Program. This was a great foundation to ensure Compliance knowledge. As Director of Compliance, Janell assists in executing and monitoring new and existing laws, regulations, policies, and industry standards and identifies existing and emerging business practice issues and risks of company. Janell continues her work as EMR System Administrator for Sangre de Cristo Community Care to ensure that the software is meeting the needs of all departments while providing a compliant electronic medical record that allows staff to provide quality patient care through effective communication. She oversees both the Compliance and Medical Records team as they support the other agency staff to always meet the required regulations while serving the Sangre de Cristo Community Care mission of enhancing the quality of life and maintaining the integrity of patients and their families.

Jessica Stagg is the Senior Product Manager for MatrixCare SNF Orders and eMAR as well as for the SigmaCare by MatrixCare EHR. She has served in various client facing and product roles throughout her 12 years with the company.  In her roles, Jessica is responsible for driving innovation, quality and compliance for the MatrixCare and SigmaCare products. Jessica is passionate about delivering a high-quality product that meets and surpasses the needs of customers and the individuals they care for.

Olieda Swanson is the Senior Director of Professional Services for Matrixcare Home Health, Hospice and Private Duty.  With over 25 years of industry experience, she uses the knowledge to lead an implementation & training team who are driven to provide an excellent customer experience.  Olieda holds PMP & Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications. She and her family reside in central Ohio.

Alan Wildauer joined MatrixCare LPC in December, 2014, and soon became part of the clinical LPC team. His focus has ranged from Physician’s Orders and eMAR to both Assisted Living and Clinical Point of Care. His current focus is on the LPC modernized platform. Alan holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Indiana State University.

Tommi began her career as a trainer for Long Term Software when she joined MatrixCare in 1999.  Throughout her 23 years at MatrixCare, she has worked with the Clinical, the Financial, the Revenue Cycle Management divisions, and now focuses on the Admissions & Census. 

Tommi is a certified Scrum Master, holds an Associates degree in Pre-Medicine, and is currently working on her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Health Information Management.  

Julie Wolff joined MatrixCare in 2006 and has led Product Management for the Home Care Business Unit since 2013, taking on the Senior Product Management position in 2017. Previously, she served as Business Analyst, Implementation Specialist, Training Specialist, Documentation Specialist, and Support Specialist for both the legacy and current-gen products. Prior to her tenure at MatrixCare, Julie spent 17 years working in the Home Care Industry, holding positions with Community Care, Connecticut VNA, and White Oak Systems.

Amy Wootton, RDN, Director of Nutrition Management with over 20 years of experience in nutrition management for senior communities as well as experience in acute care, food service management, nutrition informatics, and wellness education. Driving her interest in informatics, Amy joined MatrixCare over 6 years ago working closely with both the clinical product line as well as dietary software solution MealTracker. Amy is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, was appointed Chair on the Interoperability and Standards Committee (ISC), founding leader on the Nutrition Informatics DPG, and contributed to the Academy’s Nutrition Care Process Toolkit. Presenting in FNCE annual conference, Amy advocates for nutrition representation in health records. Amy has accepted a Leadership Award from the Florida Academy of Dietetics, has co-authored Consensus Recommendations for Optimization of Electronic Health Records for Nutrition Care and 2019 Nutrition Informatics Survey: Results and Future Directions.  She participated in work with the ISC advocating HL7 standards such as the ENCPRS (Electronic Nutrition Care Process Record System) version 2.0. She has achieved years of diversified experience in all spectrums and disease improvement and prevention throughout the lifespan. Amy is a dedicated leader and is passionate about the success of nutrition interventions as an electronic solution to healthcare crisis’.  

Larry Wright is a Sr. Accountant at Advanced Health Care. With 5+ years in healthcare accounting experience, Larry specializes in financial statement preparation, cost reporting, internal and external audit, and process improvement. Larry is a Certified Management Account, a member of the Institute of Management Accounts, and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
